I am glad to be a member of the Collective Art Gallery in Topeka, Kansas since December 2004. "How Far the Horizon" — my first gallery show — was in June of 2005. I will have my second show there in August of 2006.This show will be a group show with a number of other members.

The Prairie Art Event 2005 in Cottonwood Falls. Chase County, Kansas offered many lovely places to paint, including Spring Hill Ranch and School house at the Tallgrass Prairie National Park, State Fishing Lakes, Stonehouse B&B, YMCA Camp Wood, and many more places. "View from the Pavilion of Far Horizons" was given "Jurors' Choice Award."

I am looking forward to the Prairie Art Event in 2006, which is to include the Symphony in the Flint Hills, in conjunction with the auction and sale of plein air works by many artists done in the weeks preceeding. It promises to be a fascinating prairie experience. The concert will be a mile into the prairie, out of site and sound of everything but the earth and sky. The music is "Grasslands: Prairie Voices" by Kansas composer Eugene Friesen.
